1. Description
Based on the fitness test results table dated July 26, 2024, it shows that employees at the Lung and Respiratory Health Service Facility of "K" District (70 people) have VO2 Max levels ranging from 23 - 43, with the interpretation of VO2 Max results :
Good = 11 people
Enough = 41 people
Less = 6 people
Very Less = 1 person
Did not participate = 11 people (on duty outside or sick)
The test used is :
Rockport run 1.6 km = 57 people
SMWT = 2 people.
Meanwhile, there were only 6 people with V02 max > 35.4, so on average, employees at the Pulmonary and Respiratory Health Service Facility of "K" Regency had VO2 Max in the Sufficient category.
For the results of the PA Thorax X-ray (Posteroanterior view), out of 31 people who underwent the PA Thorax X-ray examination (the examination was prioritized for employees whose workplaces often had contact with patients with lung infections or had complaints of diseases due to lung infections);
- PA Thorax X-ray images within normal limits = 17 people
- PA Thorax X-ray images with bronchitis = 12 people
- PA Thorax X-ray images with bronchitis suspected of Pulmonary Tuberculosis = 1 person
- PA Thorax X-ray images with bronchopneumonia = 1 person.
Thus, the average employee at the Pulmonary and Respiratory Health Service Facility of "K" Regency whose workplace often comes into contact with patients with pulmonary infectious diseases, has a PA chest X-ray result within normal limits. Employees of the Pulmonary and Respiratory Health Service Facility of "K" Regency always apply the pillars of TB (Tuberculosis) control in the workplace which are monitored routinely and periodically in the quality indicators of compliance in the use of personal protective equipment.
2. Discussion
Based on the results of the physical fitness test on employees of the Lung and Respiratory Health Service Facility in "K" Regency and the results of the calculations, it can be concluded that the average level of physical fitness of employees is included in the sufficient category.
Based on the results of the Physical Fitness Test and the results of research by other agencies (Kurniawan, S, Andun S. 2019. On the UNESA website.) shows that the level of physical fitness of employees of the Lung and Respiratory Health Service Facility in "K" Regency which is included in the sufficient category (41 people out of a total of 70 employees), is suspected due to several factors including:
a. Physical Activities and Sports
Performing physical activities and sports properly, regularly and continuously is beneficial in achieving optimal physical fitness status. With regular exercise, our physical fitness will increase. The improvements obtained include: increased movement, not easily tired, increased skills and so on.
Based on the TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTEGRATED PHYSICAL FITNESS MEASUREMENT FOR STATE CIVIL APPARATUS OF THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH, the physical exercise program for the category of sufficient cardio-pulmonary fitness level:
Frequency of physical exercise 3 times a week.
Intensity of physical exercise with a pulse rate of 120-130 per minute.
Duration of physical exercise 30-40 minutes, excluding warm-up and cool-down time.
Types of physical exercise only with leisurely walking, fast walking, jogging and cycling, gymnastics, swimming, step dance and disco aerobics.
b. Food and Nutrition.
The body needs nutritious food as a source of energy, a source of building materials and regulating substances. Nutritious food will affect a person's health and physical fitness. Therefore, we must regularly consume food that contains sufficient nutrients so that humans can live healthily and can carry out daily tasks well and have strong endurance.
c. Rest and Sleep.
After doing a physical activity, the body will feel tired, so we take a rest. Good rest is rest that does not require activity, namely sleep, at least 8 hours at night.
d. Lifestyle Habits and Environmental Factors.
Healthy lifestyle habits will affect physical fitness. Our physical health is also influenced by the environment around us, both the mental environment, namely the psychological atmosphere of a person's life and the social environment, namely the state of society where we live and live in society.
